The guardian of this realm was a fearsome creature, a being of immense power known as the Soul Eater. Li approached the Soul Eater, who demanded, "What brings you to the Land of the Dead?"

The Soul Eater, moved by Li's quest, allowed him to pass. Li walked among the spirits, witnessing their final moments of existence, and in doing so, found the answers he sought.
