In a climactic battle, Lin Wei, using all the pieces of the Demon King's soul, managed to trap the shadow within himself, thus preventing the Demon King from being released.

As the prophecy was fulfilled, the world was saved from the brink of destruction. Lin Wei, now no longer a novice, returned to his village a hero, the savior of the realm.
