He had heard tales of the "Shanghai Jing," a mystical text that chronicled the wonders and mysteries of the land. The hermit’s prophecies began to unfold as Mingli encountered each creature. The Qilin revealed a hidden path, while the Xiezhi spoke of a great trial he must face. Mingli pressed on, driven by the promise of uncovering the truth about the world and his place in it.

The climax of his journey came when he faced the nine-headed snake, the beast that guarded the entrance to the celestial palace. In a fierce battle, Mingli used his wit and the wisdom he had gathered from the Shanghai Jing to outsmart the snake. With each defeat of a creature, Mingli learned more about himself and the world he was exploring.

Finally, Mingli reached the top of the Kunlun Mountains and stood before the celestial palace. He was greeted by the Jade Dragon, who revealed that Mingli was destined to be a guardian of the world, tasked with preserving the balance between the mystical creatures and the human realm.

Mingli accepted his fate with grace, understanding that his journey was not just about uncovering the secrets of the Shanghai Jing, but also about discovering his own purpose and the role he was meant to play in the ancient world.
